Hace unos diez años, cuando fallece mi hermano Carlos, mi madre decide darme todas sus pertenencias.
Sabía que era un buen fotógrafo, pero cuando me puse a mirar las miles de fotos, clichés y diapositivas que tenía, me quedé sorprendido. Aquello debió despertar algo en mí, ya que empecé a interesarme por la fotografía, cada vez más, en poco tiempo pasó a ser una de mis pasiones.
Ahora entiendo algunas cosas sobre mi hermano, como que un día perdiese un tren por fotografiar una tortuga. Las horas que pasaba escondido detrás de unas ramas, o disfrutar del mar y, la montaña, una de sus grandes pasiones. Ahora comparto algunas de sus aficiones, entre ellas la fotografía. Casi todos los que nos dedicamos a la fotografía de naturaleza padecemos el frío, el calor y las horas de espera para obtener alguna foto que nos guste.
En definitiva lo que busco, es dejar una imagen inmortalizada en mi cámara, una imagen que en ese momento me gusta y me motiva. Descubrir si he conseguido plasmar en esa fotografía los sentimientos, los colores, las formas, y una vez conseguida seguir disfrutando de ella después.
No uso ningún programa informático para modificar las fotografías, salvo en contadas ocasiones y por algún motivo en concreto, creo que puedo captar con la cámara lo que quiero y, si no, lo volveré a intentar de nuevo. Pienso que los programas informáticos con el tiempo acabarán con la fotografía.

About ten years ago, when my brother Carlos died, my mother decided to give me all his belongings.
I knew he was a good photographer, but when I look the thousands of photos, cliches and slide that he had, I was surprised. That should awaken something in me, because since it I became to be interested on photography, increasingly more, and in a short period of time it became to be one of my passions.
Now I understand some things about my brother, such that one day he missed the train because he was taking a photograph of a turtle. He spent hours hidden behind the branches, or enjoying the sea or mountain, one of his passions. Almost all of us that are dedicated to nature photography suffer the cold, the heat and the hours waiting to take a good photography.
In short, what I'm looking for is a photo immortalized on my camera, a picture that in this moment I like and motivate me. Discover whether I have managed to capture in the photo the feelings, the colors, the forms, and when I have found it, continue enjoying it.
I don't use a computer program to edit photos, only in a few times and for any reason in particular. I think I can take the photo that I want with my camera, and if not, I will try it again. I think computer programs to edit photos are going to end up photography.

Vor zehn Jahren, als mein Bruder verstarb, entschloss sich meine Mutter dazu, mir all seine Sachen zu übergeben..
Ich wusste, dass er ein guter Fotograf war, dennoch war ich sehr überrascht, als ich mir all seine Tausende von Fotos und Diapositive
Ich begann mich von Mal zu Mal mehr für Fotografie zu interessieren, und in kürzester Zeit wurde sie zu einer meiner großen Leidenschaften.
Jetzt verstehe ich so einiges bezüglich meines Bruders,
als er zum Beispiel den Zug verpasste, weil er eine Schildkröte fotografieren wollte.
Die Stunden, die er damit verbrachte, sich hinter Ästen und Getrüpp zu verbergen, oder, wie er das Meer genoss und die Berge, eine seiner großen Leidenschaften.
Jetzt teile ich einige seiner Hobbys, unter anderem die Fotografie. Fast alle, die wir uns der Naturfotografie widmen, haben auch schon mal unter Kälte, Hitze und etlichen Stunden des Wartens gelitten, um ein Foto zu erzielen, dass uns gefällt.
Im Großen und Ganzen versuche ich, eine Szene mit meiner Kamera zu verewigen, eine Aufnahme, die mir in diesem Moment gefällt und mich motiviert.
Zu entdecken, ob ich es geschafft habe, in einem Foto Gefühle, Farben und Formen festzuhalten, und letztlich, mich an einer gelungenen Fotografie zu erfreuen.
Ich benutze kein Computerprogramm, um das Foto zu bearbeiten, nur in äußersten Ausnahmen und nur mit konkreter Begründung. Ich kann mit einer Kamera alles beliebig festhalten, und gelingt es mir nicht, versuche ich es noch einmal, auf ein Neues.
Ich denke, mit der Zeit werden die Computerprogramme der traditionellen Fotografie ein Ende bereiten.
